The NDRA team is really excited about the return of the Nostalgia Drag Racing Series to Ironbark Raceway, Roma, Queensland on Sunday April 25th, 2010. Ironbark Raceway are holding a test and Tune on the night before, and camping is available. For those who don't know Roma is about 470km west of Brisbane on the Warrego Highway; coming from the north or south use the Great Inland Highway.
The track and its facilities are an impressive achievement for a small community, and the control tower is as well equipped as virtually all of the main drag racing venues in Australia.
Camping is available with toilets, showers and other facilities at the track. But the most outstanding feature of Ironbark Raceway is the professionalism and downright friendliness of its club members and track staff, ideal for a Nostalgia meet.
There has been a lot of interest from the harder hitting nostalgia racers from the city/ coastal regions with the challenge being put out there to take the track record of the Junkyard Dog Racing team.
As well as all the exciting nostalgia brackets there will also be special brackets for cars that don't fit into a Nostalgia class. There is a bracket for Competition vehicles (i.e. Super Sedans) and a Street Machine bracket if you have a Commodore, a Falcon a European or Jap car. Please download and complete an entry form and return it with the entry fee as soon as possible if you would like to race. Pre entry nominations close on the 16th April, 2010.
We would like to extend to all car clubs and individual motoring enthusiasts an invitation to bring along your nostalgia street cars and hot rods to enjoy the day and be a part of the informal 'Pit Lane' show'n'shine. To be a part of the show'n'shine, just bring your cool ride along, only pay the normal general admission fee and ask to park in the Show'n'shine area.
